Ms. Carol teaches
in a way that inspires students so they have the initiative to want to play
piano, not just because their parents make them sit at the piano. She takes
pieces step by step and learns the way each child learns and teaches in the
student's style of learning. She is always encouraging them even if they make
a mistake, so that they have the want to play better. Unlike many teachers,
she is very friendly in teaching, and it relaxes the student so they can play
as they always do and not worry about making mistakes so they can concentrate
on the piece itself. Ms. Carol
was my favorite teacher and helped me reach my potential. I've always thought
that maybe piano is not for me, since I can never win anything when
competing. But Carol changed that: with her, I was able to win 2nd place for
the Go for the Gold competition and Honorable Mention at CAPMT Honor’s
audition at state level. It was the first time in a long time that I actually
felt really good about my playing. With her, my techniques and listening
skills blossomed and grew, and I'm forever thankful to her. – Sarah |
